What to Expect
Friendly people, Comfortable atmosphere, Uplifting message
We're excited that you are considering visiting us at Olive Branch Church of God. Our deepest desire is to bring glory to God through lives changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. We long to connect people both with God in meaningful, authentic, God-centered worship and other people in honest, caring, selfless community.
What are your services like?
Our services are casual and our people dress in many different ways. You'll see attendees dressed in business casual, while others wear sandals and shorts. We encourage you to dress however you feel most comfortable. We typically start our services with a few songs and then break shortly for a few announcements and a time of greeting one another. After these announcements we sing a couple more songs before the message. We encourage you to freely worship in any way that is biblical. We tend to stand throughout the music and if you love to stand then stand; if you would like to raise your hands then raise your hands, and if you would like to sit quietly and listen please feel free to do so.
We usually preach through books of the Bible, but if you don't have one, the verses are up on the screen on stage and Bibles are available at the Welcome Center in the foyer.
After the message each week, we give of our tithes and offerings and then stand together for one final song. If this is your first time attending a service with us, we would love to meet you after our service is over. You should have received an information card as you entered the service to fill out so that we are able to mail you more information on our church and our ministries. After the service is over, one of our friendly Care Team members will guide you to a comfortable room set aside for you to visit with our pastor if you would like.
